Background:

Dr. Katie’s education began at the University of Waterloo, where she studied the sciences of kinesiology and biology. Fuelled by a fascination for injury prevention and recovery, paired with an admiration for the potential of the human body, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Soon after she received her certification in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University.

She later completed 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program at the Koontenay Yoga School under the mentorship of Stacey K Dixon to further develop her knowledge and expertise in holistic health and human movement. Having recovered from a chronic injury herself, she understands the concerns and uncertainty around partaking in various movement practices. This has inspired her vision to provide yoga classes in a safe and secure environment, catering to individuals with various levels of abilities and/or injuries.

Dr. Katie's objective is straightforward:

  • To mitigate discomfort and facilitate your capacity to move with ease

  • Foster improved tissue recovery

  • Boost performance

  • Empower you to embrace your life to the fullest

She undertook this journey with the goal of returning to join the family practice and is currently enjoying providing quality patient care to the Markdale and surrounding communities where she was born and raised. She looks forward to supporting you on your journey towards relief and better health.
